Muskogee County Jail Roster
The official Muskogee County Jail inmate search is published by the Muskogee County Sheriff's Office at muskogeeso.org/inmate-search. The roster is free to use, no login was observed, and the page describes a current in-custody list sorted by booking date. The page metadata says it is updated hourly, but an hourly update is still not the same as a certified custody record. A new booking, release, transfer, or data correction may lag behind jail activity.
The roster is a county jail tool. It is the right first stop for people booked into Muskogee County Jail by county deputies, local police departments, some tribal agencies, and other agencies shown in the roster's held-for field. It is not the controlling search for sentenced Oklahoma Department of Corrections prisoners in Taft, sentenced federal inmates, or ICE detainees. When a person is no longer on the Muskogee County roster, the next step depends on whether the person was released, moved to ODOC custody, placed in federal custody, or transferred for immigration processing.
The sheriff roster itself tells users to check back later if no result appears because the inmate search may be updating. It also points users to VINE for release or transfer status. The inspected roster used public JSON endpoints behind the sheriff page. Those endpoints returned a count of public booking records during the research pass, but that count is only a roster snapshot. It should not be treated as the jail's rated capacity, average daily population, or an official annual booking report.
Muskogee County Roster Fields
The roster search is more limited than many statewide court or prison portals. That limit is useful to know before searching. A misspelled name, nickname, hyphenated last name, recent booking, or transfer can all cause a search to look empty even when the jail has handled the person. The sheriff page's own empty-result message says the office could not find the person or may be in the process of updating the inmate search.

The screenshot is useful because the public interface is sparse. The roster card and profile link carry the record detail; the search form itself is mainly a name filter plus page navigation.

A Muskogee County inmate profile is a booking record, not a full court file. It identifies the booking event, the person, the held-for agency, and the listed charges. Several high-interest fields were not visible in the inspected profile. No bond, court date, housing unit, pod, judge, warrant number, Social Security number, or full physical measurement set appeared in the public sample. For court dates or formal charge filings after booking, use the court-record pathway rather than relying on the jail profile alone.
Muskogee County Lookup Chain
When the online roster does not settle the question, use the full access chain. The jail phone line, sheriff Records Division, VINE, state prison lookup, BOP locator, ICE locator, and court systems each answer a different custody question. Muskogee County Custody Facilities
Muskogee County has one county jail for local custody and two ODOC prisons in Taft. The three facilities should not be searched the same way. The Muskogee County Jail roster covers county jail bookings and current local custody. Muskogee County Booking Records
The sheriff's official pages do not publish a full local intake manual, so the booking process should be read from the public record fields and normal jail workflow. A person arrested by a deputy, city police officer, tribal law-enforcement agency, or other agency may be taken to Muskogee County Jail if that agency books into the jail. Staff create or update the InmateID and BookingID, assign the BookingNum, enter BookingDate, add held-for agency information, record demographics, attach a Pic field when a photo is available, classify the person, and list booking charges.
Those booking charges are not the same as final court charges. After booking, a prosecutor or other charging authority may file, decline, amend, or replace charges. Muskogee County Records Requests

The research located a records page and a request-form link, but the crawl did not capture the form fields.
Fees must be confirmed with the Records Division. The sheriff records page says to contact the office for fees related to records requests and concealed-carry licensing. Do not assume a fee amount, copy charge, or same-day turnaround unless the office gives it for the specific request. When making a request, include the person's full name, approximate booking date, BookingNum if known, held-for agency if shown, and the exact record type requested.

Muskogee County Jail Visits
Muskogee County Jail visitation is video only through City TeleCoin. The sheriff visitation page says both online and on-site visits must be scheduled 24 hours in advance. Each inmate is allowed one 15-minute visit per week, and in-house visitation is free. All visits are recorded. Visitors may have to show proof of identity and consent to search.

Visitation privileges can be restricted for inmate or visitor misbehavior or for detention-center security. Visitors who appear under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be permitted and may be subject to arrest. Confirm custody before scheduling because a release or transfer can make a planned visit impossible.
Muskogee County Inmate Funds
Commissary and deposit rules are separate from roster search, but they matter once custody is confirmed. The sheriff's commissary page points users to JailATM for web deposits and commissary ordering. It also lists a lobby kiosk that accepts cash or credit cards. A money order may be mailed with the inmate's name. Do not send funds until the roster, jail, or VINE confirms the person is still in the right custody system.

State prison money is different. ODOC says JPay is the only acceptable way to send funds to ODOC inmates, and deposits need the full seven-digit ODOC number. That rule applies to Dr. Eddie Warrior Correctional Center and Jess Dunn Correctional Center, not to the county jail commissary system.
Muskogee County Outside Custody
If the person has been sentenced to ODOC, use OK Offender Lookup. The ODOC page begins with a disclaimer and may require users to accept terms before searching. ODOC says its information is abbreviated and not meant to be an exact explanation of offense, sentence, or time to be served, so users may need to contact DOC for further documentation. The two Muskogee County state prisons in Taft are ODOC facilities and should be handled through state prison rules for mail, money, phone, and visits.
Federal custody uses separate channels. The BOP Inmate Locator covers federal inmates from 1982 forward and warns that release dates may change as sentences are reviewed or recalculated. Federal pretrial custody is generally handled through the U.S. Marshals Service, and the Eastern District of Oklahoma has its district headquarters in Muskogee. Immigration custody is searched through the ICE Online Detainee Locator System, using either an A-number path or a biographical search path when the required details are known.
